Materials Needed:

• Yarn: 3 colors of worsted weight yarn (A, B, C)
• Hook: 5 mm (H) crochet hook
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends
• Polyester filling or old pillow for stuffing
• Measuring tape

Gauge:

16 stitches x 16 rows = 4 inches in pattern.

Finished Size:

Approx. 18 inches square.

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• fpdc - front post double crochet
• bpdc - back post double crochet

Pattern Instructions:

Body of Cushion Cover:

Note: Work in rounds without turning.

1. Foundation Round: With Color A, ch 48. Join with a sl st to the first ch to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in each ch around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2. (48 dc)
3. Round 2: Change to Color B. Ch 2, *fpdc around next dc, bpdc around next dc; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2.
4. Round 3: Change to Color C. Ch 2, dc in each stitch around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2.
5. Round 4: Change to Color A. Ch 2, *bpdc around next dc, fpdc around next dc; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2.
6. Continue this pattern (repeating rounds 2-4) until piece measures approximately 18 inches high. Finish with a round using Color B.

Finishing:

1. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
2. If stuffing, ensure to fill the pillow evenly.
3. For closure, you can either stitch or crochet closed, or use a zipper for easy washing!
