These fingerless gloves are not only practical but also a bright addition to your wardrobe! Featuring a variety of colors, they have a ribbed cuff and a gentle flare towards the top, providing a comfortable fit without compromising any dexterity.

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in the following colors:
  • Turquoise (Color A)
  • Hot Pink (Color B)
  • Red (Color C)
  • Yellow (Color D)
• Size US 8 (5 mm) knitting needles
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

4 stitches = 1 inch in stockinette stitch.

Abbreviations:

• CO: Cast On
• K: Knit
• P: Purl
• St(s): Stitch(es)
• RS: Right Side
• WS: Wrong Side
• BO: Bind Off

Pattern Instructions:

Glove (Make 2):

1. CO 40 sts with Color A.
2. Work in 1x1 ribbing (K1, P1) for 10 rounds.
3. Switch to stockinette stitch (knit every round) and knit until the piece measures 5 inches from the CO edge.
4. Begin color changes:
   • 1st Color Block: Change to Color B. K 4 rows.
   • 2nd Color Block: Change to Color C. K 4 rows.
   • 3rd Color Block: Change to Color D. K 4 rows.
   • 4th Color Block: Change back to Color A. K 4 rows.
5. Now start decreasing for the thumb opening:
   • Row 1: K 32, K2tog, K 1 (39 sts)
   • Row 2: K 31, K2tog, K 1 (38 sts)
   • Continue this until you have 32 sts remaining.
6. Continue to knit until the glove measures 8 inches from the CO edge.
7. BO all sts loosely.
8. Use the yarn needle to weave in any loose ends.

Finishing:

Turn the gloves inside out and give them a gentle wash to help the seams relax. Let them air dry completely. Your colorful fingerless gloves are now ready to wear!
