Amigurumi Frog Pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in green and black
• Crochet hook size G/4.0mm
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

Gauge is not critical for this pattern. Ensure your stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing from showing through.

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• st(s): stitch(es)
• inc: increase (2 sc in the next st)
• dec: decrease (sc 2 sts together)
• FO: fasten off

Instructions:

Head/Body:

1. Start with a magic ring in green yarn.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in the magic ring. (6 sts)
3. Round 2: inc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) 6 times. (18 sts)
5. Round 4: (sc in next 2 sts, inc) 6 times. (24 sts)
6. Rounds 5-10: sc in each st around. (24 sts)
7. Round 11: (sc in next 2 sts, dec) 6 times. (18 sts)
8. Round 12: (sc in next st, dec) 6 times. (12 sts)
9. Stuff the head firmly.
10. Round 13: dec around. (6 sts)
11. FO and weave in the end.

Eyes (Make 2):

1. Start with a magic ring in green yarn.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in the magic ring. (6 sts)
3. Round 2: inc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. FO and leave a long tail for sewing.
5. With black yarn, embroider a simple circle on one side of each eye piece to form the pupil.

Assembling:

1. Align and sew the eyes on top of the head.
2. Use black yarn to stitch a simple smile on the frog's face.
