Simple Grey Garter Stitch Scarf Pattern
Materials
- Yarn: DK weight, 100% wool, in grey (approximately 300 grams or 600 meters)
- Knitting needles: Size US 8 (5mm)
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- Scissors
Gauge
20 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch
Abbreviations
- CO: Cast On
- K: Knit
- BO: Bind Off
Instructions
Size: Approximately 7 inches (18 cm) wide and 60 inches (152 cm) long.
- CO 35 stitches.
- Row 1: K all stitches.
- Continue knitting each row (this is garter stitch) until the scarf measures 60 inches (152 cm) in length, or your desired length.
- BO all stitches using the bind off method of your choice, ensuring that the edge is not too tight.
