Warm Autumn Waves Throw Blanket Crochet Pattern
Materials:
- Yarn: Medium weight (4) yarn in four colors (Autumn Orange, Golden Yellow, Earth Brown, Cream)
- Hook: Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving ends
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Single Crochet (sc)
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
- Color Change
Gauge:
5 waves = 4 inches wide
Instructions:
- Foundation Chain: Chain 140 to start. This will create the width of your blanket.
- Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make 1 dc. In each of the next 2 chains, make 1 dc. *Skip 2 chains, make 3 dc in the next chain. Repeat from * to the end. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *make 2 dc in the next dc from previous row, 1 dc in the next dc*; repeat from * to end. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 3, *make 3 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc*; repeat from * to end. Turn.
- Color Change: Switch colors after every 5 rows. Use a slip stitch to attach the new color and continue as before.
- Repeat Rows: Continue working rows until you reach your desired length, approximately 60 inches. End on a repeat of Row 2.
- Border: Single crochet around the entire blanket for a finished look. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry.
Final Size:
Approximately 50 inches by 60 inches
