Soft Textured Cloud Baby Blanket

Pattern Instructions

Foundation Row

1. Ch 80 (or desired width).

Row 1

1. In the 4th ch from the hook, make 1 dc. In each of the next 3 ch, make 1 dc (you will have 4 dc total).
2. Skip 2 ch, then make a shell (5 dc in the same ch) in the next ch. Repeat until the end of the row. Finish with 1 dc in the last ch.

Row 2

1. Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), turn your work.
2. In the same stitch, make 1 dc. In the next shell, make 5 dc (forming a shell).
3. Continue alternating between skipping 2 stitches and making a shell in the next stitch, finishing with 2 dc in the turning chain at the end of the row.

Repeat Rows

Continue repeating Row 2 until the blanket reaches your desired length. Make sure to end on a full row.

Finishing

1. Fasten off the yarn, leaving a long tail for weaving in.
2. Weave in any loose ends with the tapestry needle.
3. Add a border if desired: sc around the entire blanket, making 3 sc in each corner to ensure it lays flat.
