Colorful Granny Square Tablecloth Pattern
Materials
- Cotton yarn in three colors: pink, white, and orange
- Crochet hook size H/8 (5 mm)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge
10 dc and 5 rows = 4 inches in double crochet (dc)
Abbreviations
- ch - chain
- dc - double crochet
- sc - single crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
Instructions
Center Square
- With pink yarn, ch 6 and join with a sl st to form a ring.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 15 dc into ring, join with sl st to top of ch-3. (16 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, join with sl st. (32 dc)
White Border
- Join white yarn in any dc.
- Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, ch 2, skip 2 sts, *(2 dc, ch 2) in next st, skip 2 sts; repeat from * around, join.
- Round 4: Sl st into next ch-2 space, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same space, ch 1, *(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-2 space, ch 1; repeat from * around, join.
Orange Border
- Join orange yarn in any ch space.
- Round 5: Ch 3, dc in each st and ch-1 space around, working (dc, ch 2, dc) in each ch-2 space.
- Round 6: Repeat Round 5.
Finishing
- Fasten off and weave in all ends using a tapestry needle.
This colorful granny square pattern can be repeated to create a larger tablecloth or blanket if desired. Adjust yarn amounts accordingly for larger projects.
