Abbreviations
- k - knit
- p - purl
- k2tog - knit 2 stitches together
- yo - yarn over
- RS - right side
- WS - wrong side
Instructions
Cast On: 32 stitches.
Pattern
Row 1 (RS): K1, *p2, k2; repeat from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 2 (WS): P1, *k2, p2; repeat from * to last stitch, p1.
Row 3: K1, *yo, k2tog, p2; repeat from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 4: P1, *k2, p2; repeat from * to last stitch, p1.
Repeat Rows 1-4 until the scarf measures approximately 60 inches, or your desired length. End on a Row 2 to ensure consistency.
Finishing
Bind off all stitches loosely, weave in all ends using the tapestry needle, and block the scarf to measurements to open up the textured pattern.
